OHHRRN’s Spotlight on Sheri Price

sheri priceDr. Sheri Price is a Nurse Scientist at the IWK Health Centre, Halifax, Nova Scotia and also holds Adjunct Faculty Appointments with the School of Nursing, Dalhousie University, Halifax and the Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faulty of Nursing (LSBFN), University of Toronto.

Sheri is a recent graduate from the PhD program at the LSBFN, University of Toronto, where she studied with Dr. Linda McGillis Hall. Sheri's doctoral studies were funded by fellowships from CIHR Institute of Health Services and Policy Research fellowship, and Nova Scotia Health Research Foundation. Her doctoral research explored Millennial nurses' career choice experiences and their early socialization to the nursing profession. Sheri's program of research is in the field of health human resources, specifically in the area of professional socialization.

Sheri is the recipient of an Ontario Training Centre (OTC) Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Health Services and Policy Research, funded by CHSRF and CIHR. She will be working under the supervision of Dr. Ivy Bourgeault. Within her post-doctoral fellowship, Sheri will build on the findings of her PhD research by exploring strategies to enhance career choice and early socialization for future nursing and health professionals.
